i forget her name but a girl at trent did pieces like that for her final decorative arts exhibition this year.
There's a famous designer too that produces similar pieces - spiders cut and folded out of the paper. I'll have to find out his name...not the spider's - the designer's.
Beautiful website - it's hypnotising seeing thses beautiful shapes come to life in animation. We may ask them to come and give a talk.

I believe I attempted something like this after the Zaha Hadid/Jonathan Barnbrook (friendly fire) museum last year. Made a complete hash of it, but the thought was there. :)
