Rod Arad was born in 1951.
He studied at the jerusalem academy of art then moved to london to studied at the architectural association in london.
In 1981 Arad teamed up with Caroline Thorman to establish a design studio called "One Off ltd". The pair then founded "ron arad associates" in 1989 which was an architecture and design pratice in chalk farm.
In 1994 he established the "Ron Arad Studio" in Italy.
In his london studio, He has produced many individual pieces made of sheet steel, shaping the steels formal and functional possibilities to the
maximum.
Arad is currently the professor of industrial and furniture design at the rca in london. He has his work in museums around the world and has had his work featured in many exhibishion
